6 Club - Responsible Gaming

6 Club responsible gaming: how to set deposit and time limits, recognise problem-gambling warning signs, self-exclude, and reach confidential 18+ support helplines.

Play within your limits

At 6 Club, gaming is entertainment, never a financial strategy. Before every session, decide on a fixed budget using only disposable income: money left over after paying rent, utility bills, groceries, and EMIs. A practical rule is the 1% guideline, never risk more than 1% of your monthly take-home pay in a single session. If you fund your account through PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM, set a UPI spend notification at your session limit so your bank alerts you the moment you reach it, adding a second layer of accountability outside the app.

Log out immediately when that amount is gone, win or lose. Chasing losses by making a second deposit to recover the first is the single fastest route from recreational play to harmful gambling. If you catch yourself opening a payment app to top up after a loss, treat that impulse as a stop signal, not a strategy.

Warning signs of problem gambling

Problem gambling is not about bet size, it is about the effect on your daily life. Common behavioural red flags include spending more than planned on three or more consecutive sessions, hiding UPI or card transactions from family members, borrowing money from friends or taking a personal loan specifically to fund deposits, and feeling restless or irritable when you are unable to play.

In the Indian context, watch especially for diverting funds from SIPs, recurring deposits, or a joint family savings account to cover gaming losses. Skipping work, college lectures, or social commitments to keep a session going is equally serious. If you recognise two or more of these patterns in yourself right now, step away and activate a cooling-off period from your 6 Club account settings before your next session.

Deposit, loss and time limits

6 Club provides three direct limit controls inside Account Settings → Responsible Gaming. Deposit limits cap how much you can add per day, week, or month, for example, a ₹500 daily deposit limit blocks any further top-up via PhonePe, GPay, BHIM, or card once that figure is reached. Loss limits halt play automatically once your net losses hit a chosen amount in the same period. Session time limits log you out after 30, 60, or 90 minutes, whichever you select, so a quick evening session cannot silently stretch into the early hours.

Lowering any limit takes effect immediately. Raising a limit carries a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off delay, which means an impulsive decision made mid-session cannot override the calmer budget you set when you were thinking clearly. Review these controls when you first register, and revisit them whenever your income or expenses change significantly.

Self-exclusion and cool-off

When spending limits alone are not enough, 6 Club offers two stronger tools. A cool-off period suspends your account for 24 hours, 48 hours, or 7 days, the right choice when you feel urges intensifying and need a short, firm break without committing to a lengthy pause. Self-exclusion is a longer-term block: choose 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or 1 year. During any self-exclusion, your account is locked, all promotional emails and SMS messages are stopped, and access cannot be restored before the period ends, even if you contact support and request it.

To activate either option, navigate to Account Settings → Responsible Gaming → Self-Exclusion, or ask a live chat agent to apply it on your behalf. Unlike simply logging out, a self-exclusion is irreversible for its chosen duration, which is exactly what makes it effective when willpower alone is insufficient.
